Customizations
(Note: XP only) The video used for the 2 error screens can be changed from the default streams installed in the "mce" directory. Navigate to the R5000-HD install directory. The default location is: "c:\program files\r5000hd\mce"
Besides the additional driver files and dlls, there are 2 transport stream clips which contain the video that is played in the event of connection problems. The first one "no_connect.ts" is streamed when there is no R5000-HD DVR instance to attach to. The second, "no_signal.ts" is used when the DVR app is not streaming any MPEG data, for example when the STB is turned off, not tuned to a channel or the DVR app is not in the streaming mode.

To make a substitution, an appropriate transport stream mux must be created. The video pid must be 0x11 and the optional audio stream must be 0x14. It is recommended that the transport stream be null stripped (no padding). Since the file is looped, make sure to cut it on an i-frame boundary otherwise breakups may occur at the wrap point. It is recommended that you save the original stream files.
