Source Packet Creation |
| D-VHS tape decks require that transport
packets (which make up transport stream files) be converted to
"source packets". These packets have an additional time-stamp
header for the purpose of properly synchronizing and streaming the data
over a Firewire interface to a D-VHS deck, for example. The R5000-HD software does not utilize the standard filter (supplied by Microsoft) to convert transport stream packets to source packets. We have created what we believe to be an improved algorithm that more accurately produces the time-stamp information and thus reduces the possibility of glitching on more sensitive D-VHS tape decks. |
