Utility Applications Included in the R5000-HD software package are 2 utility applications: "Disk2Tape" and "TSCutter". The Disk2Tape utility, as its name implies, is useful for queuing up disk-based transport streams and sending them to D-VHS tape. The D-VHS transport control panel is duplicated for convenient control of the tape deck via the user's PC. Disk2Tape uses the same custom-designed source packet creation filter as employed in the R5000-HD DVR for tape-based recordings. |

PID and the ability to send compressed files to tape. For more

The "TSCutter" utility is a simple transport stream file cutter. It is designed to edit at the nearest packet boundary (188 bytes) and calculates time by accurately detecting the transport stream rate of the file. See user manual. |
